That's why I earned my Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) designation. What is the SRES® Designation?
The Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) designation is awarded by the SRES Council of the National Association of REALTORS®. It requires specialized education covering:
- Counseling seniors and their families through major real estate transitions
- Understanding housing options — from independent living to long-term care
- Reverse mortgages, estate considerations, and tax implications
- Accessibility and aging-in-place modifications
- Working with attorneys, financial planners, and other professionals in the senior space
- The emotional and psychological aspects of moving later in life
Not every REALTOR® has this training. When you work with an SRES®, you're working with someone who has invested extra time and education to serve your specific needs.
